Xposed Installer is considered as one of the widely used Frameworks to customize Android system and its application packages. It make changes in Android version via its modules which should be downloaded and installed separately. Ease to use is one of the greatest advantages of this framework, you just need to uninstall the module to undo the system made changes along with a reboot. Same part of the Android system or its applications can be changed via multiple Xposed Modules. APK files installation is now easier via Cydia Impactor tool from Saurik, try it if you want.
Xposed Installer APK is available to download for all the Android versions like KitKat, Lollipop and Marshmallow along with the older versions before KitKat until 4.0.3. XDA-Developers is the label behind Xposed Installer and from the XDA-Developers family the names rovo89 and Tungstwenty should be brought to the fore while we talk about Xposed Framework.

How To Install Latest Xposed Framework On Android Lollipop And Marshmallow ?
Note*: Before installing Xposed Framework on your Android device, we strongly recommend to back up all your data, it will definitely be helpful if needed. Video tutorial for Xposed Framework installation is given at the bottom.
If you are an Android KitKat or its older versions until 4.0.3 user, you just need to copy the above apk file to your device memory card and click on it to install and more than that a reboot is required. Xposed Modules can be downloaded and installed further. The script is different for the newest Lollipop and Marshmallow, you have to do a little more like flashing the device with a custom recovery. We have detailed the whole procedures below.
First of all you need to download and install the apk file given above and then download the zip file provided below and save it in your device memory card which is needed to be flashed using a custom recovery.
xposed*.zip –Download (For Installing Xposed Framework)
SDK21 – For Android 5.0 (Lollipop)
SDK22 – For Android 5.1 (Lollipop)
SDK23 – For Android 6.0 (Marshmallow)
xposed-uninstaller*.zip – Download (Need to flash this if you want to remove Xposed Installer)
If you do not know what is your Android device processor name ?. We have provided the steps below to grab it. Since zip file along with the processor name should be downloaded for Xposed Framework installation.
How To Know The Processor (ARM or ARM64 or x86) ?
Simplest way is to Google your device with model number. If that may not satisfy you, there are so my apps in the app store showing it, “Droid Info” is one. Download and install it and it will show you the processor.
ARM – ARMv7 or armeabi
ARM64 – AArch64 or arm64
x86 – x86 or x86abi
Once you have downloaded the relevant Xposed zip file, the next step is to flash it using any of the custom recovery tools. If you already have another one installed, go with it. Otherwise we prefer TWRP custom recovery. Follow the steps provided in the link given below to get TWRP installed on your device.
Then, go to the “Recovery Mode” via the proper key combinations and then Flash the downloaded zip file from the Install section. You need to reboot your device, some devices may take some time for the first reboot after getting Xposed Framework successfully installed.
Note*: If you select the wrong Xposed Installer zip file for flash, it will show some errors like “Error executing updater binary“. And the same flashing method is done for removing Xposed Framework, use the uninstaller zip file instead.
Now you can go to the Xposed app and install Xposed modules. Some of the modules required a reboot once it has been installed and keep in mind that if you want to uninstall Xposed Framework, uninstalling it via the app does not make it complete. Flashing the Xposed uninstaller zip will make it finished.
Xposed Installer Errors & Fix
- Some of the Sony device users have been experiencing bootloop with messages like “Fatal signal 6” or “No pending exception expected: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException“. Currently Xposed developers did not find any fix for this yet.

- Why “No xposed modules were found” message shown once all the things has been done correctly and taken the modules section ?. Initially you have to download the modules from the “Download” section and then go to the “Modules” section to activate that recent download.
- Also keep in mind that some of the modules require root access to work properly, so we request you to root your device using any of the apps like SuperSU which is already with TWRP or some other ones.
